What Are Live Templates?

Live Templates in ClientPoint offer a dynamic way to manage and update content across multiple ClientPoints simultaneously. Unlike static templates, Live Templates update every ClientPoint where they are used whenever the original template is modified. This allows companies to maintain consistency and control over content with minimal effort, ensuring all relevant information is automatically current across the board.

Why Use Live Templates?

The main advantage of Live Templates is centralized content control. Instead of manually updating individual ClientPoints, a Live Template lets you make changes in one place that instantly reflect across all ClientPoints using that template. This saves significant time and ensures all team members or clients are viewing the latest company information, pricing updates, or promotional content.

With a Live Template, updates to this content appear instantly across all ClientPoints that incorporate it. How Do I Create a Live Template?

1. Click on New ClientPoint or + New
2. In the Info Tab, select Template for the Status
3. Once selected, check the Template Options on the upper right, to ensure that Live Template is turned on, then click Save & Continue
   
   IMPORTANT: One Pass must be disabled, in order for the Live Template functionality to be enabled for your Template.
   
   
4. In the Files tab, add your desired content to the Template
5. That's it!  You now have a Live Template that you and your team can import into any ClientPoint, just like any other ClientPoint template!

How Do I Manage And Update My Live Templates?

1. Updating and Managing Live Templates

   When updates are required, managing a Live Template is simple:

   1. Go to the Manage screen and navigate to Your Templates.
   2. Open the Live Template you want to update, then go to the Files tab to make changes. Modifications like new files, edits, or file removals will automatically apply to every ClientPoint using this template.

   Important Considerations

   • One Pass Templates: Live Templates require that the One Pass Template generation option is disabled, as these features are not compatible.
   • Login Requirement: Users still need to log in to access ClientPoint content, but Live Templates provide a focused, updated experience.
