How to Fix ‘Preview Not Ready’ in ClientPoint

The Preview Not Ready message occurs when a merge document or tool in ClientPoint hasn’t completed processing or hasn’t been properly submitted. This notification ensures users are aware of incomplete or pending processes, helping maintain the accuracy and professionalism of their ClientPoints.

Preview Not Ready is generated for merge documents and tools that have not been submitted or processed correct.  You will see a message that says:

You will see this page if the merge document or tool you have requested to preview is not ready yet.  This can be due to a few different reasons, such as: 

  • The document may still be processing.  If you see "processing" in front of the field name, wait a 30 to 60 seconds to allow the merge document or tool to fully process.  
  • The merge document or tool may not have been submitted or processed completely.  Try resubmitting the file, to resubmit, select the file to the left and click on "Edit" to view the form.  Click Submit in the form to resubmit and reprocess.  

Steps to Resolve "Preview Not Ready"

Resubmit a Specific Merge Document or Tool

  1. Open the ClientPoint you are editing and navigate to the Files section.
  2. Select the file displaying the Preview Not Ready message.
  3. Click Edit on the file.
  4. At the bottom of the form, click Submit.
  5. The file will display "processing" as it regenerates. Once done, the issue should be resolved.

Resubmit All Merge Documents or Tools in a ClientPoint

  1. Open the ClientPoint you are editing and go to the Files section.
  2. Click More and select Merge Tool to access all merge documents.
  3. Click Submit for each merge document individually.
  4. Wait for the "processing" status to complete.
