When building a ClientPoint, the Files tab is one of the most powerful and feature-rich areas of the platform. Whether you're organizing documents, setting permissions, or creating templates, each icon has a purpose that contributes to efficient, professional proposal creation.
Below is a breakdown of all the important file action icons and what they do - designed to guide both new users and experienced team members.
🔧 Main Action Icons (Top Bar)
These are your core tools for interacting with each file inside a ClientPoint:

✍️ Enable eSign
Activate this if the document needs to be signed electronically. This streamlines the signing process within the proposal itself. -
📝 Rename Item
Change the name of the file as it appears in the ClientPoint. This is helpful for clarity and organization. -
👁️ Preview File
Open a quick preview of the file to review its contents without downloading it. Great for spot-checking content. -
✏️ Local Edit
Use this to make offline changes on your local device before re-uploading. Ideal for working with desktop-based document editors. -
✏️ Edit (Grayed Out)
This icon may be disabled based on the file type or permissions. It typically allows for quick content editing when supported. -
🗑️ Delete
Remove the file from your ClientPoint. Use with caution - deleted files cannot be recovered unless re-uploaded.

Separate one file into multiple documents. The Split Tool lets you specify pages and label each new section.Options include:

⚙️ Conditions
Add specific display conditions to your file. This is useful for showing content only when certain criteria are met ideal for dynamic proposals. -
🙈 Hide in TOC
Hide the file from the proposal’s Table of Contents. Useful for supplementary content that doesn’t need to be highlighted. -
⬇️ Downloadable
Toggles whether the recipient can download the file or not. Enable for easy access or disable for secure, view-only content. -
🔒 Internal
Marks a file as internal-use only. It won’t be visible to the external viewer/client. -
📄 Header TOC
Enable or disable whether the document headers appear in the proposal’s Table of Contents. -
🛠️ Merge Tool
Combine multiple documents into one. You’ll be prompted to name the new merged file before confirming.⚠️ Merging is permanent—ensure accuracy before proceeding.

💾 Save as Template
Save your ClientPoint setup as a reusable template. You can name it and choose the division it belongs to.Optionally, you can also save form entries along with the structure.

📄 Merge PPTX
Combine PowerPoint (.pptx) files into a single file. Useful for presentation-based proposals. -
📄 Merge Docx
Similar to PPTX, but for Word (.docx) files. Merge multiple Word documents into one. -
🖨️ Print Only
Tag the document as Print-Only. It won’t appear in digital TOC or navigation. -
📚 Add to My Library
