Zoho CRM has updated their API effective December 31, 2019. Due to this update from Zoho, ClientPoint has released a new version of the Zoho CRM integration, version 8.0. We’ve outlined further details and recommended actions for you to take below.
Since the December 31, 2019 date is not flexible, we encourage you to update your ClientPoint integration right away. By updating now, you will ensure that there will be no disruption to your proposal generation process.
Instructions to update ClientPoint extension:
- Log into Zoho CRM.
- Go to Setup.
- Under Marketplace, click All.
- At the top, choose Updates and you should see ClientPoint Version 8.0
- Click Update.
- You'll be asked to agree to the terms and authorize ClientPoint to access and process your data as required. If you agree, check the boxes and click "Continue to Upgrade".
- When prompt to choose users/profiles, choose Install for all users and click Confirm.
- Once the update is installed, you'll be redirected to the Extension Details and the Version should be 8.0. If this is not what you see, please contact support@clientpoint.net.
- You're done with updating the ClientPoint extension in Zoho.
Next, follow these steps to move from API v1.0 to API v2.0:
In ClientPoint, enable Zoho CRM New Integration (API 2.0). Requires administrator access.
- Login to ClientPoint via administrator account.
- Navigate to Settings > Integration > Zoho CRM > Manage
- On the manage screen, enable "New Integration (API V2.0)"
- Click Submit to save.
Once New Integration (API V2.0) is enabled in ClientPoint, connect ClientPoint to ZohoCRM.
- Login to ClientPoint
- Navigate to Settings > Integration > Zoho CRM.
- Click on Connect
- Log into Zoho CRM
(Note that the email associated with your ZohoCRM and ClientPoint account must be the same). - Follow the instructions on screen
- A successful activation will redirect you to the thank you page.
- Close the tab and open ClientPoint.
- Now you can import deals and contacts from ZohoCRM to ClientPoint.
