Our integration with Salesforce allows administrators to map fields from the Opportunity, Account or Contact page in Salesforce to custom fields in ClientPoint on the Info screen.
Before fields can be mapped into ClientPoint from Salesforce, you will need to obtain the field API names in Salesforce and setup the custom fields in ClientPoint.
For standard field, the field API name is the same as the name. For example, the "Amount" field API name is "Amount".
For custom fields, the field API names end with the suffix "__c". For example, if the field is "Follow Up Notes", the field API name "Follow_Up_Notes__c".
To setup field mapping, follow the instructions below:
- First, the fields to map from Salesforce into ClientPoint, do they correlate with the default fields in ClientPoint. Default fields are Division, Region, Market, Services Category, Revenue, Client Name and Assigned To.
If not, sign into ClientPoint with an Administrator account and create custom fields in ClientPoint based on the fields in Salesforce. Custom fields will be added to the Info screen in ClientPoint. If there are drop-down fields, make sure that the options are the same between Salesforce and ClientPoint.
Here are instructions to create custom fields in ClientPoint. - Once you have the custom fields created. Sign in to Salesforce with a Salesforce administrator account. Go to Setup.
