Are you inviting others to your ClientPoint Meeting or you have been invited to join a meeting via ClientPoint and cannot connect to the microphone and/or camera? Try the following troubleshooting options based on the device you are joining the meeting from. See below for some helpful tips.
Troubleshooting No Camera or Microphone Available in ClientPoint Meeting
Possible Causes
- Camera and/or Microphone access is blocked from the Browser to ClientPoint.
- Camera and/or Microphone access is blocked from Windows to the Browser.
Resolution Steps for access blocked from Browser to ClientPoint
iOS - iPhone and iPad
If you are having trouble connecting to video on an iOS devices after you have tried to join a meeting and approved access to your camera and microphone in the browser your browser may not have video permission in settings.
Microsoft Edge
Option 1
- Navigate to a ClientPoint meeting with the ‘Please provide permission to access your microphone’ message displayed.
- Select the Camera or Microphone icon displayed to the right of the website url.
- On the pop-up select ‘Always allow…’ then select ‘Done’.
- Refresh the page and select ‘Join Live Meeting’.
Option 2
- Open the Browser Settings page by selecting the triple dots on the top right corner of the browser window then selecting the ‘Settings’ option.
- On the left side of the Settings page select ‘Cookies and site permissions’.
- Under ‘All permissions’ select ‘Camera’
- Ensure there is a Camera available and selected in the Drop down menu next to ‘Camera’. If not, make sure your camera is connected to your computer and is detected by Windows.
- Ensure the ‘Ask before accessing (recommended) is turned on.
- Ensure there are no ClientPoint web pages listed under the ‘Block’ section. If there are any then delete them by clicking the trashcan icon to the right of the web page url.
- On the left side of the Settings page select ‘Cookies and site permissions’.
- Under ‘All permissions’ select ‘Microphone’
- Ensure there is a Microphone available and selected in the Drop down menu next to ‘Microphone’.If not, make sure your microphone is connected to your computer and is detected by Windows.
- Ensure the ‘Ask before accessing (recommended) is turned on.
- Ensure there are no ClientPoint web pages listed under the ‘Block’ section. If there are any then delete them by clicking the trashcan icon to the right of the web page url.
- Navigate back to the ClientPoint Meeting and refresh the page.
- Select ‘Join Live Meeting’ then select ‘Join Meeting Now’
- On the pop-up in the top left corner of the browser window select ‘Allow’ to allow ClientPoint to access your Microphone and Camera.
Google Chrome
Option 1
- Navigate to a ClientPoint meeting with the ‘Please provide permission to access your microphone’ message displayed.
- Select the Camera or Microphone icon displayed to the right of the website url.

- Select ‘Join Live Meeting’ then select ‘Join Meeting Now’
- On the pop-up in the top left corner of the browser window select ‘Allow’ to allow ClientPoint to access your Microphone and Camera.
Resolution Steps for access blocked from Windows to the Browser
- Select the Start button on the bottom left of the windows toolbar.
- Select ‘Settings’ then ‘Privacy’
- Under App Permissions select ‘Camera’
- Select ‘Change’ then turn On ‘Camera access for this device’
- Scroll down to the ‘Allow desktop apps to access your camera’ and turn it On.
- Under App Permissions select ‘Microphone’.
- Select ‘Change’ then turn On ‘Microphone access for this device’
- Scroll down to the ‘Allow desktop apps to access your microphone’ and turn it On.
- Navigate back to the ClientPoint Meeting and refresh the page.
- Select ‘Join Live Meeting’ then select ‘Join Meeting Now’
