ClientPoint offers a variety of template options to help streamline workflows and make content management more efficient. Whether you’re creating standardized documents or automating content, these templates offer different functionalities to cater to the diverse needs of teams. In this article, we will explore the four main types of templates available in ClientPoint and how to use them effectively.
What Template Options Do I Have To Choose From?
There are 4 different types of Templates that can be created within ClientPoint: Templates, My Templates, One-Pass Templates and Live Templates.
1. Templates
Templates in ClientPoint are collections of files that can be instantly imported into a ClientPoint. These can be shared across an entire team or limited to specific users in particular Workspaces or Divisions. This option is ideal for standard documents and files that need to be accessed frequently by various team members.

2. My Templates
Similar to standard Templates, My Templates are files created by a user and are only accessible to the user who created them. This option offers privacy and is ideal for personal or specific use cases where sharing across teams isn’t necessary.
3. Live Templates
Live Templates differ from the previous types in that they allow for real-time updates. When a Live Template is included in a ClientPoint, any changes made to the template will be reflected instantly in the ClientPoint, without the need for manual updates. This feature is especially useful for maintaining up-to-date content that requires consistency across multiple ClientPoints. However, once a Live Template is imported into a ClientPoint, it cannot be rearranged or removed.

4. One-Pass Templates
One-Pass Templates offer content automation by reducing repetitive data entry. These templates allow users to fill in common fields and eliminate unnecessary content based on selections made within a Template Form and Tree. This streamlined process makes it easier to generate ClientPoints without having to manually input the same data multiple times.

How Do I Organize My Templates?
To manage templates, ClientPoint offers the option to save them to specific Workspaces or Divisions. This helps ensure that only users working within the selected workspace or division can access and import the template. This organizational structure enhances collaboration and ensures that templates are relevant to the appropriate teams.
