The General Data Protection Regulation is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individual citizens of the European Union. Individuals must consent to having their data tracked and stored.
If a ClientPoint is created for a Prospect outside of the EU, use Disable GDPR to disable the consent checkbox and message for the selected ClientPoint. Learn more about how ClientPoint is GDPR compliant.
Here's how to set it up:
- Go to Settings and choose the Themes tile
- Edit your default theme
- Expand Advanced Settings
- Scroll down to the GDPR section
- Here, you'll have the opportunity to add the text that shows next to the checkbox, as well as a consent message.
- When you're done, be sure to hit Save Changes and Done.
- Here's what the changes will look like to your prospect.
Here's how it works:
- If you setup the GDPR text in your Themes, every ClientPoint you send out will have the content show on the prompt for email page and will require your prospects/clients to check the acceptance box before viewing the ClientPoint.
- If you do not wish to send a ClientPoint out with the GDPR information you simply disable it by hitting the toggle next to Disable GDPR under Recipient Viewer Options on the Info Page.
- If you'd like to permanently have this feature enabled/disabled/not show on the info page, you may adjust it in Advanced Settings. For more information, please click here.
- Learn more about Recipient Viewer Options, here.
