The template prompt in ClientPoint is designed to streamline the creation of a new ClientPoint by providing users with an intuitive selection of pre-configured templates. These templates can be tailored to fit specific needs, saving time and ensuring consistency.
How the Template Prompt Works
-
Triggered for New ClientPoints:
- The template selection popup will only appear when creating a new ClientPoint.
- It will not display for existing ClientPoints when revisiting the Files tab.
-
Template Overview in Popup:
- When the prompt is active, a user-friendly window displays all available templates from the content library.
- Each template is presented as a tile with the following details:
- Template Name
- Number of Files included
- Brief Description outlining its purpose or contents.
-
Content Library Requirement:
- This feature works only if templates are already created and stored in the content library.
- Templates provide structure by pre-loading specific files and layouts into the ClientPoint.
How to Enable the Template Prompt
- Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Choose Advanced Configuration and find Prompt template usage for new ClientPoint.
- Enable it and click save.
To get started:
- Click on + New or New ClientPoint.
- On Info, complete the fields, add Recipients and enable/disable desired Recipient Viewer Options.
- Click Save & Continue.
- If your content library has templates, the prompt for template popup will appear.
- Your templates will be listed in the navigation, and each template tile will provide the template's name, the number of files in it, and a brief template description.
- Once you choose Use this Template all of the template files will populate into your ClientPoint.
- If you need to make any changes, you may still move files and add or delete files like normal.
Conclusion
The ClientPoint template prompt enhances efficiency by providing a structured, visually intuitive way to select and apply templates. It reduces manual input, ensures consistency across ClientPoints, and is easy to manage through advanced settings.
